San Diego Parade of Lights
As everyone knows San Diego is one of the most popular places that people are trying to migrate to. One of the primary reasons is the beautiful weather year round. Another is because there is so much to see, do, and experience.
Even though our Christmas is not the snowy, flaky winter wonderland everyone is used to, we still bring the Holiday spirit into town. One of the festivities San Diego has to offer during winter holidays is the Christmas Boat Parade of Lights.
The Parade is held two consecutive Sundays of December (this year, December 13th and December 20th). Participating are over 80 vessels decorated in lights and animated displays representing this years theme: Christmas Around The World. It takes place in the San Diego Bay starting at Shelter Island at 5:30 p.m. with about 1-½ hours of viewing from each spot. The best spots for viewing are: Shelter Island, Harbor Island, The Embarcadero, Seaport Village and Ferry Landing on Coronado Island
During the both days of the event, Point Break Cafe will be opened from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. serving as always the most delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And don’t forget about Happy Hour 3:30-6:30 p.m. So come by and enjoy a meal at Point Break Cafe then head over to the parade. Both will be an experience you will never forget!
